With the series finale of Power, fans are wondering if every storyline had a great finish. The answer to that is no. The reason being for that is, Starz has at least four more stories to tell. While some of them are worthy of watching, others have not been well-received. After Ghost was shot, Power went on a storyline that mirrored “Who shot JR” on Dynasty. It was a great way to pull viewers in, but by the second episode, it was clear who did it.

Now, viewers are left with more questions than answers. In the world of TV this is considered perfect marketing. But will the same viewers tune in? The finale was explosive but did it satisfy everyone’s cravings in the end? Is Power one of the black shows that deserves a spinoff? Here are 10 unanswered questions we still have after the series finale of Power.

Is Ghost Really Dead

This is a legit question considering how it all ended. For starters, Ghost changed his will a few times and did so right before he was shot. The theory was that he and Angela would end up somewhere on an island together. Then you take into account that he tried to make amends with people who felt he did them wrong. From Paz all the way down to Tommy’s mother. He looked out for almost everyone.

But the real thing that has fans wondering is that we never saw a body. There was no viewing, no funeral or no picture of him dead. So what really happened there?

Why Are We Getting A Rashad Tate Spinoff

Tate’s character is not worthy of his own show. What did he add to Power that screams spinoff? If that’s the case then Tasha’s mother should get one as well. Tate did have his moments as the police officer turned politician, but is it enough traction to cover 13 episodes? No. His interaction with his brother and his family, coupled with the old neighborhood could be good, but he was not a well-liked character.

His escape in his final episode of Power left many wondering why did he get to escape so easily after all the dirt he did? Now we know why. There was a bigger plan for his character.

Will Tommy Seek Revenge

With the way Tommy is, it’s hard to believe that he could just leave New York City like he did, knowing who shot his brother. Although it was his nephew who pulled the trigger, what Tariq did was on another level of disrespect on how he was raised. Tariq wants to portray a gangster, but he’s playing a game that he’s not built for.

While on his way to save Ghost, Tommy was ambushed by Vincent and his crew. But it was there that Vincent let Tommy know that it was Tariq who set him up to be killed. Now that Tommy knows who shot Ghost, will he seek revenge for his brother and for his nephew turning on him?

Will Elisa Marie Come After Tariq

Elisa Marie thought she had a friend in Tariq. But she would later find out that he was the one who helped set up her father and lied to her. Will she want revenge? Although she rode around with Tommy and found out he was the one who actually pulled the trigger, it was Tariq who made it possible, all the while staring her in the face as if nothing happened.

With her and Tommy somewhat at peace, there has to be a piece of her that wants Tariq hurt for what he did. Later down the line, will she come seeking revenge for her father?

Where Is Effie

While at Choate, Tariq fell for a girl at school. While Tariq was interested, it appeared that Effie was in it for me than a quick smooch on the cheek. She was the competition Tariq never knew he had or wanted. Once Tariq ran out of product, she placed a call to someone and that was the last we saw of her.

She was there one moment, seemingly about to play an important role, then she was gone just as fast as she came in. Where did she go and will she make a surprise visit on one of the spinoffs?

Will Paz Come After Tommy

Since Angela was killed, Paz just knew it was Ghost who pulled the trigger. No matter how many times he told her, Paz was not buying it. But during her episode, she found out the truth. It was Tommy who killed her sister. When she went to his NYC Penthouse to confront him, Tommy had already left for California. Will Paz just let it go, or will she go looking for Tommy?

It seems logical since she was hell-bent on seeking revenge when she thought it was Jamie who had killed Angela. Does she have the guts to pull the trigger if she runs into Tommy again?

Is A Kanan Spinoff Really Needed

Out of all the spinoffs, why is one about Kanan getting a green light? His character was important to some of the storylines in Power, but he’s dead. What the point of 4-5 seasons covering a character’s fate we already know? This seems more like a money grab and an ego-boost to 50 Cent more than anything.

Kanan was a tough character and we understood that he was the one who put Tommy and Ghost in the drug game, but he spent a large portion of his life in jail and then he was shot by the cops. If his was the first story, then this would be better to swallow.

How Much Time Passed Between Power And Power: Book II

This is where things may have taken a severe turn. According to most reports, Power: Book II picks up right after the original show. While that’s a bit understandable, there is a time window that’s hard to understand. Tasha asked Simon to get Tariq into Stansfield. Simon agrees and then Tasha told Tariq that he had to get his GED.

As the series finale went off,  Starz showcased scenes for Power: Book II. In it, we saw Tariq in college. How much time has passed? Was it enough for him to get his GED since he was in high school at the end of the original series?

Did Ghost Deserve His Fate

If Ghost is really dead, is that why he deserved? Although viewed as a drug dealer and murderer, he wanted to change. Ghost’s plan was to become legit, run his nightclub, and then take a position in office. Before just he was shot, he did go on the cocky “can’t nobody stop me” tirade.

With his checkered past, James St. Patrick still found a way to make amends with most of the people he did hurt. The only person he didn’t do anything for, well, she deserved that, and that was his former wife, Tasha. In the end, everyone made him out to be a villain. Instead, he proved to be the exact opposite.

Where Is Romana

Many thought that Romana had been the person who shot Ghost. While their relationship was new, you could tell there were real feelings there. She entered Power on Tate’s side but after some devious doings by Rashad, she switched and got behind James. After James was shot, Romana showed up at Tate’s press conference and had this look of revenge on her face.

With Tate heading to Albany, will Romana, who’s now out of a job, seek revenge? With Tate given his own show, it’s clear to believe that Romana may be either the villain or the hero here. If portrayed correctly, Romana’s character could rival that of Olivia Pope’s on Scandal as a strong black female lead.
